ADOPTED! George – Young Adult Male English Coonhound Cross
UPDATE – Congratulations on your adoption George!
Georgie, Porgie, Puddin and Pie. Kissed the kids and made them – cry? Not our George! Our George loves children. In fact, in true hound fashion, our George loves just about everyone and everything. George is a young (about 9 months?) hound mix, quite stunning, with the body of an athlete and the brain of a goofy baby. He loves to play, has a moderate activity level, and as you would expect, needs some polishing on his manners – but after all, he’s still just a baby himself. George is doing well with his housetraining, is cratetrained and gets along very well with other dogs. He hasn’t been with cats, but he’s so good-natured that we’re guessing he’d be ok with them, as long as they’re tolerant of a big dog who doesn’t know his own size. George is very food-motivated, which will help greatly with training, and is quite affectionate. With training, he’d make a fabulous running partner, and is an all-around great dog, particularly if you’re looking for a boy with more heart than brains. This dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for heartworm and lyme disease, and will be microchipped as soon as adopted. If you have questions, you can email Jackie at jackiesinger@comcast.net. She can also send you a pre-adoption questionnaire.
Lady Di – Adult Female Weimaraner Cross
UPDATE: Congratulations on your adoption Lady Di!
Lady Di has the name of a dog that most would think it high maintenance. But if you look closely you will see much the opposite. Lady Di is a get down and dirty kind of girl. She is always ready to play; running through the mud is her kind of game. She plays well with people and dogs of all sizes. She is a smart girl too. Lady Di is always ready to learn. She is potty trained on a schedule and crated for the work day. This dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for heartworm and lyme disease, and will be microchipped as soon as adopted. You can email Rachel at lpuppylove4u@aol.com with questions. She can also send you a pre-adoption questionnaire.
ADOPTED: Daubie – Adult Female Terrior Cross
UPDATE: Congratulations on your adoption Daubie!
Daubie is a serious name for a calmer, gentle, quiet sweet dog. Full grown at 25+ pounds, house-trained and crate trained, this girl is quite the lady. She walks well on the leash, is friendly without being overbearing, and gets along well with everyone. She cuddles the kitties, is patient with other dogs and does well with kids. However, her more docile and quiet demeanor means she prefers a calmer home.
She is so easy to miss at adoptions, she curls up and sleeps and that is the only reason we can think of that she is still around. Talk about a perfect dog – those eyeliner eyes, the soft temperament… This dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for heartworm and Lyme disease, and will be micro-chipped upon adoption.
