The New Homeward Bound Dog Rescue Website!

Sep 25, 2011   //   by Sherri   //   Announcements, Blog  //  3 Comments

Welcome to Homeward Bound Dog Rescue’s new website! After many weeks of hard work by a dedicated group of volunteers, we have a new-look website that we think you’ll find fresh and fun. For those of you that haunt the site, you’ll find that some of the same things such as information about the dogs and cats in our program, our adoption dates/locations, and other events.  We’ve added some new features as well.

If you haven’t already, be sure to like us on facebook and follow us on Twitter.  We are really eager to combine the use of social media with our website in order to seek forever homes for the animals in our program.

One feature that we are particularly excited about is our blog.  Here we can provide information on dogs that we would like to feature, special events, news, updates, and whatever else we come across that we think will be of interest to our past and future adopters and volunteers.  The blog also gives you a chance to share your thoughts and ideas on a given topic with us and we look forward to hearing from you!

Adopted!!!! Spike/Rio- Adult Male Boxer Cross

Sep 7, 2011   //   by Nicci   //   Featured Dogs ** Adopted **  //  1 Comment

Why are we featuring Spike/Rio….For two reasons….1) Spike tends to sit quietly in the back of his crate at adoption events, so sadly he goes unnoticed. So we wanted to make sure EVERYONE knows what a great dog he is. He loves to play, be petted and give kisses. And he makes his foster family laugh all the time with his silly antics.  2) Some people are unsure about adopting a dog that has had heartworm. Spike will tell you that he is 100% better.  Better yet he will show you by going for a run with you!! If you want to know more about Spike, checkout his full bio on our all dogs page.
