Adoption Events

See you at Petco!

Every week (usually Saturday) we hold a pet adoption at a local pet store in the Twin Cities, Minnesota metro from 11:00 a.m. to 3 p.m.

*Note – if we are short on core volunteers, our adoptions sometimes begin slightly later than 11:00. It just depends on how many volunteers show up to help unload/set up the cages and bring the dogs in from the vans. We occasionally bring cats to our adoptions but more often than not, we have special cat adoptions so the cats don’t have to be surrounded by dogs!

What To Expect at an Adoption Event

Homeward Bound dog adoption events are fun, energetic, slightly chaotic, usually pretty noisy, and your heart will be broken and warmed all at the same time! Please feel free to come volunteer. We always love to get extra help unloading, setting up, walking dogs, and cleaning up!
