Our upscale yard sale starts today!

May 17, 2012!  Today through Sunday:   Lake of the Isles -  2427 East Lake of the Isles Parkway, Minneapolis, MN.  And we just learned yesterday that the proceeds from the sale will generously be matched by the hosts of the sale YAY!

Rain or shine, there a tent to keep shoppers dry!  Women’s, men’s and kid’s clothes; lamps; pillows (new) and household items.  Huge number of items both new and used.  Proceeds from the sale going to the animals of Homeward Bound Dog Rescue!

First Ever, Cat/Kitten Fundraiser

We are seeking donations for our silent auction that will be held during our cat/kitten fundraiser on Saturday, April 21, from 4-7 p.m. at the Wild Tymes Bar and Grill in St. Paul (33 West 7th place)

Will you help Betsy?

  We need your help. Sweet Betsy was taken into rescue after being taken by animal control as a part of a drug bust. Pregnant, and with no family to call her own; a caring shelter volunteer contacted us to see if we had room for her, and fortunately we did. She has been resting comfortably in her foster home for the past two weeks and began whelping her pups this morning. Unfortunately something went wrong with the first pup and they got stuck, causing all of the other pups to become stuck. Of course, today is Sunday and our vet clinics aren’t open so we had to bring her to the emergency vet. Our hope was that they would be able to move the first one and get him or her to come out thus freeing up everyone else. Unfortunately, that wasn’t possible and she is undergoing an emergency C-section.

Here is where you come in. We are seeking donations to help cover this emergency surgery. Any amount would be very much appreciated. New Starts for the New Year

They have all been with Homeward Bound for a long time and are part of our New Starts for the New Year adoption promotion with reduced adoption fees.  We’re taking this month to try really hard help these guys find their forever home.  Why have they been with us for so long?  Some have special needs such as being an only dog or not wanting to live with kids but they’re all fun pooches who have a lot of love to share.

Care to Share

Does your dog have items he or she no longer needs or uses?  Homeward Bound Dog Rescue will be at the Creek Valley School Park Recreation building on Sunday, November 13 from 12-3 collecting donations of used or new dog supplies: Collars, leashes, crates/kennels, blankets/towels, rawhides, bones, etc.  Monetary donations are welcome also!  For more information contact Cheri at:  JRF8000@aol.com
