Harper is an 8 month old, smaller size Lab mix ( about 40 pounds), a very well socialized and outgoing pup. She is used to daily walks, dog parks, meeting new people and dogs, and has a highly social and friendly personality. She is reliably house trained and crated when alone. Harper has always had dog friends and a yard and would love that to continue, as well as a home with daily walks and play time. She sure enjoys her playtime, but she also looks forward to curling up and cuddling with her people at the end of the day. Thunder is getting mopey--- every other dog who has been in rescue as long as he has ( with the exception of Bowie) has been adopted. He&#039;s a very good boy seeking a forever family! Jasmine is the sweetest, calmest, most loving fluffy kitty you will probably ever meet. She is a gentle soul, friendly and purrs all the time, and has so much calm and patience. Jasmine was surrendered to the vet when she kept getting &#039;backed up&#039; in her bowels and needed a surgery. The surgery was done, the meds plan and food were figured out, and she lives as a very normal kitty again with a mild laxative she takes daily and soft food. Her medical needs are around $30 a month, and that&#039;s less than you&#039;d pay for therapy you might not need with this sweetheart in your life. Jasmine

Atticus is a middle aged mixed breed, about 45 pounds, who has a tough past but he sure doesn&#039;t show it. He is always happy.  He loves to chase the squirrels and enjoys watching the birds at the bird feeder, he doesn’t bark or growl at the birds he just sits on the couch and watches them. He likes to lay on the couch and will cuddle with you if you invite him. He loves to sleep in bed with his fosters as well, no matter how little space there is. Atticus came from Mexico and was badly hurt, left to heal on his own. He had a broken pelvis and broken leg that healed on it&#039;s own. Maybe that&#039;s why he enjoys a soft bed and a warm loving home so very much. Atticus is a smart dog who responds very well to training. He enjoys other dogs, meeting people, and plays well with others. He is well house trained and crates when alone, although is graduating to more free reign then also. Penny the 7 year old Havanese ( mix?) is seeking a very specific new home. This lovely little girl is so sweet and gentle, and her world has been turned upside down with her owner having to go into Memory Care. She has been a support animal and constant ( 24 hours a day) companion to her owner, and she is missing her. Penny is seeking a home that is quiet and calm and has someone home almost all the time. She does whine and show anxiety when alone, and gets herself pretty worked up, so this is a non-negotiable part of her next home. Obviously there are times she will need to be home, but we are hoping for someone home a lot. She is dog and cat friendly, polite with kids, and LOVES her walks. She is so happy she jumps for joy when her harness comes out. Penny is both outside and potty pad trained, and used to sleeping in bed with her person. 
Her adopter will need to have patience as she goes through yet another change and shows some insecurity as far as being clingy and whiny at first.

Cuddles is an 11 year old Doxie who has two speeds... bouncy and playful outside, and calm and quiet inside. Louisa is a middle aged, mid sized mystery mutt who has been in foster for a year now. She came in with her puppies a year ago, and they all went to new adventures. Louisa is waiting her turn, and needs a special family with dog experience to find her. She is reliably house trained, crates very well for the workday, listens well and respects/responds to limits and boundaries. She enjoys the company of most dogs, although one senior female at her foster she is overly bossy with. She is good with cats. Louisa would thrive in an adult home who can manage her with men. She was previously very abused by a man, which is why she was taken away, and it takes her awhile to warm up to new guys, but she does and then loves them. However, on walks, with company coming over, etc she is not trusted with men she doesn&#039;t know. If you can manage that one part, she is otherwise very enjoyable to live with and love. She&#039;s silly and very cuddly and listens well. She would do best with a fenced yard and when she has her daily visits to the hobby farm, she is in heaven and does very well there. Charlie is a one year old, 40 pound Boxer/Lab/Pointer mix who found the right porch to wander onto when he was dumped by his prior owner. He was allowed inside until he could come to rescue, and he enjoyed it greatly. Charlie is very dog social, gets along well with other dogs, and has met cats with curiosity but not aggression. He loves people of all ages as well. Charlie is house and crate trained. He is used to a fenced yard and while he loves his walks and playtime, he is overall a more mellow guy whose favorite pastime is couch time. He is highly skilled at cuddles and love. Ashlee was dumped by her prior owners and thankfully rescued by someone who cared enough to pick her up and hold her for safety. Socks the wonder dog is a 5 1/2 year old Border Collie/Lab mix with the best of both breeds. He is smart, very responsive to people, friendly, well mannered, and has this spark of almost human wisdom that makes you connect with him easily. He is house trained, does not require a crate, loves his toys, and highly enjoys doing zoomies in the fenced yard. He rides well in the car. Socks has not been a barker, choosing to do a quiet &#039;chuff&#039; sound when he hears something. Socks is good with visiting people and kids. He is used to sharing the couch, and thinks he is a lap dog... the closer he can get, the better. Socks is very content living as an only dog, although he has been polite when out walking and other dogs approach. He is NOT a dog park dog though, other dogs in his business annoy him and he prefers a level of decorum and manners when in the company of other canines. He has lived with outside cats, but not inside cats, so for right now we are seeking a cat free home. His favorite thing in the world are walks, and he walks like a gentleman. Meet Theo and Teddy
Theo was caught in a neighborhood after being dumped with 2 other young cats 18 months earlier. Theo survived independently and had a few houses he frequented for food and shelter during that time.
It took a while, and Theo needs time to adjust to new people but loves to have his head scratched and rub against his foster&#039;s legs.
Theo is estimated to be 3-4 years old.
He is neutered. He has shared space in a home with numerous other cats and has loved every one of them. He is a beautiful white and black cat who deserves a forever home.
Teddy was caught in Jan of 2024 at the same time as Theo. We don&#039;t really know how he became a stray and he is still cautious of people. Teddy is a great tabby color, he has a shorter tail (unsure of when that happened). Teddy is pretty bonded to Theo and it would be great of these 2 were adopted together. Teddy is estimated to be 4 years old and is neutered.
He has lived the past year with other cats and been great with them.

Octavia came to us after a vet clinic closed and she had been ruling the roost there for many months. She has shown how happy she is to be in a calm, quiet home where she gets to be the only pet. She really is bossy with other cats and dogs, and is so relaxed and content being the only cat in the home. She is awful in a cage though, will swat you with claws. This means first impressions are never great, and she needs someone to just bring her home on a foster to adopt trial.  Outside of the cage, she enjoys pets, canned food, toys, and just quietly and contentedly hanging near you. She tolerates being picked up, but really prefers to come sit on you, or just hang out. Bowie is a Beagle with some baggage. Cute as can be, this young adult Beagle has a lot of Beagle traits (the bay, the enthusiasm for long sniffing walks, the passion for food, and wily smarts) but came to us with some serious resource guarding issues. He went through behavior rehab and is doing wonderfully, but without an experienced dog owner will revert back. He used to guard food, items he thought were his, and his sleeping space, and would react with a bite. At this point, in foster care, he allows us to handle him all over, take food and treats away, and move him. He needs an experienced owner to continue boundaries, training, and kind firmness. We adore him, we have no issues right now (except with cats, he hates cats). Bowie is house trained, crated when alone, loves walks, would do best with a fenced outside area, and we are highly recommending continued training classes. Galway and Dublin

Bruno is an adorable, quiet, soft souled neutered male Doxie mix seeking a calm home, ideally with a dog friend and a woman he can cherish. He loves curling up in the recliner with his foster mom, tagging along at her heels, and enjoying time with his small dog foster sisters. Bruno is learning the house training and is crated when alone. He rarely barks and is low key energy wise. Bruno is not a dog who will make a good first impression as he is shy with strangers, but give him a few days and he will be loyally yours forever. Are you looking for an agility or flyball dog? Or maybe a dog to do scent work with? Diesel (formerly Rigs) is a 4 month old Sheltie/Australian Shepherd mix (best guess) who is searching for a family who is willing to help him reach his full potential. We expect Diesel to mature to around 30lbs based on his current size. He is food/toy/treat motivated and is eager to learn. He has a relatively high drive when it comes to play, and could play fetch for hours if he could, and always has a toy in his mouth. He is always on the go, and always looking for his next adventure. Diesel needs a home who is specifically looking for an active dog to train and someone who understands and is up for everything a high energy herding breed comes with (mental and physical stimulation are very important). Diesel is fostered with other dogs, cats, and kids and loves everyone. He is a little nervous meeting new people when in new situations, but once he feels comfortable, he is ready to rock. Diesel does need a home with a physically fenced in yard, as he is a runner if he gets out, and he is fast. Another young, energetic dog in the home would be best for him, as he spends a majority of his time actively playing and wrestling with the other dogs in his foster home. Diesel (Formerly Rigs)

Braeburn is about 6 months old and a  petite lab mix, likely to be around 40 pounds full grown. His black curly coat is super soft and lower shed, but not non-shed. He loves sitting outside with his foster mom and going on walks. He is great on the leash and currently using a gentle leader collar and learning commands like “wait” and “ok!” when approaching busy street corners. 

He needs time to warm up to people. He is curious about other dogs and cats but is timid when they approach him. Praise and patience have worked well in his foster family and he definitely wants to please. He will occasionally become playful but still doesn’t fully understand fetch. He loves to cuddle and be petted! He does great in the bath and his foster thinks he will love the water in the summertime. 

Brae is a sweetheart and does well in a quieter house with people he has learned to trust. Just don&#039;t expect him to be brave enough to make a great first impression- his slow to warm up model of loving means for the people who make that commitment, he will repay it a thousand times over. Rigby is a neutered male  9 year old Hound/Bully mix who is a laid back mellow fellow, happy to lounge around and be your companion. He is dog friendly although after being attacked on a walk by an unleashed dog, he does prefer meeting dogs off leash. Rigby is house trained, not a chewer, doesn&#039;t bark often. He is seeking a calm adult home. A toddler grandson has moved into his current home and he really prefers to not interact with kids if possible. Tova is a young adult female Chesapeake/Lab cross, a very mellow girl who loves her daily walks and is otherwise very calm and laid back inside the house. She is well house trained, kennels nicely, has not been a chewer. Tova melts when she meets people and is very polite and gentle. She is tolerant of other dogs, has never been crabby with them, but is also very content to be an only dog. Dougie is a 1 year old active and happy Goldendoodle, a playful pup who enjoys making friends everywhere he goes. He needs manners and more training, but he&#039;s eager to please and responds very well to training. Dougie is excellent with strangers and with other dogs. He may be a bit much for small kids with his enthusiasm and size, and has not been with cats. He is mentally all happy puppy in a full grown body. Dougie

Duke is a very sweet, beautiful &amp; athletic young dog, likely Lab and Australian Shepherd cross. He is a nice size at 45#. Duke was a little timid at first he is now becoming more comfortable with going to the dog park and Lowe&#039;s. Being in a house took a few days to set in but now loves being a couch potato. 

Duke enjoys playing with all sorts of toys, fetching balls, going for walks/runs. 

Duke is fully potty trained &amp; crate trained. Periodically throughout the day he will go into the crate to take a nap &amp; consistently sleeps quietly through the night. He has learned the &quot;sit&quot; &amp; &quot;down&quot; commands &amp; is making progress with loose leash walking, the &quot;come&quot; &amp; &quot;stay&quot; commands. When directed to do so, Duke will sit &amp; wait to eat his meal until he receives the release command. Duke is smart &amp; food driven which has helped with his training.  In fact, we have left him unattended for periods of 1-2 hours without a problem except occasional puppy behavior of chewing on a magazine or sock. 

Overall, Duke is a wonderful dog that just needs a little more help enabling him to gain confidence in new surroundings. Whoever adopts Duke will be blessed with a very good &amp; loving boy. Grace is a young adult Weimeraner ( mix?) who has a great big heart to match her great big paws. This active and social dog has no idea she&#039;s a big dog, she thinks she&#039;s a lap dog. Grace has the basic training in the house down ( house broken and crate trained) and is now working on refining her manners. She loves walks but needs leash training for pulling. She loves to play with other dogs, and is a bit of a bull in a china shop when she does. She happily vocalize with joy when her foster dad comes home. Living with Grace is a bit like living with a high energy Great Dane puppy. She is excellent with kids, strangers, and other dogs. Her next home needs to be highly committed to training classes and dedicated daily exercise like walks and structured play. She does require a yard.
