Ranger is a 25 pound mixed breed seeking a new home, preferably a home with someone who stays home or works from home. He is living with a young child, cat and another playful dog and he enjoys them very much. He likes to chase balls thrown for him, wrestle with the Boxer he lives with, play with the cat, and curl up on the couch with the child. He is house trained and was previously crate trained, but gets anxious in the crate, so does better with someone home most of the time so he can be out of the crate. Zues needs a foster with a patient man and woman to help him overcome his fears around men he doesn&#039;t know. This Labradoodle/Golden mix lives with 9 kids he adores, another dog, and cats, and is happy and social with kids and women but has started showing teeth to men who enter his home. He has not escalated beyond that but his owner realized she doesn&#039;t have the resources to train him and asked for rescue help. He is house trained, crate trained, medium energy and very loving. Bowie is a Beagle with some baggage. Cute as can be, this young adult Beagle has a lot of Beagle traits (the bay, the enthusiasm for long sniffing walks, the passion for food, and wily smarts) but came to us with some serious resource guarding issues. He went through behavior rehab and is doing wonderfully, but without an experienced dog owner will revert back. He used to guard food, items he thought were his, and his sleeping space, and would react with a bite. At this point, in foster care, he allows us to handle him all over, take food and treats away, and move him. He needs an experienced owner to continue boundaries, training, and kind firmness. We adore him, we have no issues right now (except with cats, he hates cats). Bowie is house trained, crated when alone, loves walks, would do best with a fenced outside area, and we are highly recommending continued training classes. Octavia came to us after a vet clinic closed and she had been ruling the roost there for many months. She has shown how happy she is to be in a calm, quiet home where she gets to be the only pet. She really is bossy with other cats and dogs, and is so relaxed and content being the only cat in the home. She is awful in a cage though, will swat you with claws. This means first impressions are never great, and she needs someone to just bring her home on a foster to adopt trial.  Outside of the cage, she enjoys pets, canned food, toys, and just quietly and contentedly hanging near you. She tolerates being picked up, but really prefers to come sit on you, or just hang out. He has a lot of joys-- running in the fenced backyard, walks, couch time, hunting small critters-- but nothing more so than riding in a vehicle. He likes all people he meets but can be a little strong for young kids. No cats for him, but he does well with all size dogs. Spicy earned her name honestly, she has the typical spicy Torti attitude and is aloof and a little snotty at first.... but take the time to win her over, and she is your best friend. Her ideal home would be a quieter home with one or two people, maybe another cat ( but she&#039;s fine on her own), or a dog who would leave her be. Her mom showed up at a caring individuals home who fed momma and kept her safe until kittens and she could find rescue. Marley is a small, happy, outgoing mixed breed puppy who would love a family or another dog to spend time with. I would like you to meet Aarmis aka Thunder. He is a one year old Golden Retriever/German Shepherd mix ( best guess). His fosters  call him Thunder as that was his name from his prior adopted family who underestimated the energy of an adolescent. He needs a family with at least one other dog that likes to play or a very active family that will take him on long walks, play with him, and/or take him to dog parks regularly.  He is rarely left alone ( used to someone home most of the time) and is kenneled at night with no issues.  He is not a fan of fireworks or thunder and will hide under or behind anything he can find. He has enough German Shepherd in him to be a good barking watchdog when people come to the door, and he is learning to be redirected. Once they come in he&#039;s fine. He is does not bark much, he walks well on a leash, loves bones, is currently free-fed,  and good around kids of all ages. Cats are unknown. He has a passion for pickles also. Jasmine is the sweetest, calmest, most loving fluffy kitty you will probably ever meet. She is a gentle soul, friendly and purrs all the time, and has so much calm and patience. Jasmine was surrendered to the vet when she kept getting &#039;backed up&#039; in her bowels and needed a surgery. The surgery was done, the meds plan and food were figured out, and she lives as a very normal kitty again with a mild laxative she takes daily and soft food. Her medical needs are around $30 a month, and that&#039;s less than you&#039;d pay for therapy you might not need with this sweetheart in your life. She loves to curl up on your body and purr and just so politely wants to be with you. Kyro **Foster Needed**

Louisa is a middle aged, mid sized mystery mutt who has been in foster for a year now. She came in with her puppies a year ago, and they all went to new adventures. Louisa is waiting her turn, and needs a special family with dog experience to find her. She is reliably house trained, crates very well for the workday, listens well and respects/responds to limits and boundaries. She enjoys the company of most dogs, although one senior female at her foster she is overly bossy with. She is good with cats. Louisa would thrive in an adult home who can manage her with men. She was previously very abused by a man, which is why she was taken away, and it takes her awhile to warm up to new guys, but she does and then loves them. However, on walks, with company coming over, etc she is not trusted with men she doesn&#039;t know. If you can manage that one part, she is otherwise very enjoyable to live with and love. Atticus is a middle aged mixed breed, about 45 pounds, who has a tough past but he sure doesn&#039;t show it. He is always happy.  He loves to chase the squirrels and enjoys watching the birds at the bird feeder, he doesn’t bark or growl at the birds he just sits on the couch and watches them. He likes to lay on the couch and will cuddle with you if you invite him. He loves to sleep in bed with his fosters as well, no matter how little space there is. Atticus came from Mexico and was badly hurt, left to heal on his own. He had a broken pelvis and broken leg that healed on it&#039;s own. Maybe that&#039;s why he enjoys a soft bed and a warm loving home so very much. Atticus is a smart dog who responds very well to training. Meet Clementine. A beautiful, petite ginger cat seeking a home as an ONLY pet. Clementine LOVES people, but other cats, dogs and emus not so much.
She was recently a pregnant stray that wandered on to a farm to find a safe place to have her kittens. The farm dogs were not kind to her and she had to defend herself and her babies. The farm raised emus too, and they are not friendly either. The farmer called the rescue because she feared for Clementine and her kittens lives. So you can understand why Clementine doesn&#039;t trust other animals.
The people at the rescue were kind to her, and she raised her babies there. Then she went to the veterinarian to get an exam, spayed, and vaccinated. She was found to be in very good health, and guessed to be about 2 years old.
She is ready to have a home and people of her own. She likes both women and men. She greets me with enthusiasm when I go to visit her in her room in the basement. I can pick her up with no objection. I can hold her against my chest and cuddle her and she purrs.
She will jump up on my lap. She&#039;s learning to play with toys and enjoys the cat tree and climbing. She can be quite curious and busy, but she also settles in. She&#039;s eating kibble and wet food, and enjoys treats. She uses the litterbox 100%.

Lil Wayne is a senior Shih Tzu, a local impound dog not reclaimed, seeking his retirement home and family. He is a good natured little dog who gets along well with every person and pet he meets. Oliver is a 3 month old tuxedo medium coat kitten, found as a stray who kept desperately trying to get inside at a farm. The owner of the farm reached out to rescue as he was not happy being a barn cat there. Oliver was shy at first, especially around feet as though he has been kicked or stepped on, but is very quickly warming up to wanting attention. He may be shy the first few days, but then he&#039;s purring even before you pet him in anticipation of the pets, winding around your legs, cuddling in. He likes other cats just fine but would also be fine as a single cat with enough attention. He is a little nervous around dogs barking.
