A Little Bit About Me

Braeburn is about 6 months old and a petite lab mix, likely to be around 40 pounds full grown. His black curly coat is super soft and lower shed, but not non-shed. He loves sitting outside with his foster mom and going on walks. He is great on the leash and currently using a gentle leader collar and learning commands like “wait” and “ok!” when approaching busy street corners. He needs time to warm up to people. He is curious about other dogs and cats but is timid when they approach him. Praise and patience have worked well in his foster family and he definitely wants to please. He will occasionally become playful but still doesn’t fully understand fetch. He loves to cuddle and be petted! He does great in the bath and his foster thinks he will love the water in the summertime. Brae is a sweetheart and does well in a quieter house with people he has learned to trust. Just don't expect him to be brave enough to make a great first impression- his slow to warm up model of loving means for the people who make that commitment, he will repay it a thousand times over.
