A Little Bit About Me

Nova, affectionately named after the Spanish interpretation meaning " No Go", is a loveable, quirky, sweet, independent Rat Terrier mix female. Originally rescued from a hoarding situation, she is learning all about being a house dog, especially an apartment dog, and has found her stride with it. She has a very strong bladder and often holds her potty for a long time by choice, and is not much of a barker. Leash walking is coming along well, and she is getting braver and more social every day. Nova enjoys other dogs once she knows them ( initial meetings are scary, but she tries) and has lived with cats prior, although not with us. She panics in a crate so after her very patient foster worked with her, she is now behaving when left loose in a controlled area. Nova really loves routine, predictability, and being loved.
